A spirit teacher shares His understanding of timeless
wisdom expressed within the I Ching Hexagram 56 – Travel.
Fire is over Mountain. Fire is Yin and Mountain is Yang.
Fire will move when it can but Mountain is usually stable.
Travel builds on Abundance (55) and prepares a foundation
for Wind (57), in keeping with the endless progression of
life experiences of cause followed by effect, followed by
Abundance risks developing into stagnation or restlessness.
What does one do with one’s life after one has achieved
enough and has accumulated enough of society’s rewards to
almost satisfy one’s soul, and yet feel that something is
Perhaps it’s time to dare to open our eyes and to dare to
allow ourselves to accept that material wealth and even
physical health can become as a trap that limits our growth
and our incentive to move beyond the confines of conventional
limits of awareness
We seem to intuitively know that if we will allow ourselves
to see, there are worlds beyond worlds waiting for us to
Wow! Are we talking about possible future lives?
There are no future lives. There is, was, and always will
be only one life to live and to liveor.
Spirit explains I Ching 15 – Humility, which follows Great Possessions in the order of the Hexagrams. Earth over Mountain – or is it Mountain pushing up through Earth?
Humility, in it’s most sincere form, blended with awe and gratitude, can develop out of great possessions, when she who possesses abundance becomes aware that anything and everything we may or may not possess at any given time is doomed, or destined (depending upon one’s perspective), and is only ours while it is ours. What is becomes what was, sooner or later.
The good news is that pleasures and possessions can be enjoyed without clinging to them.
What does that mean for me?
Do you now have great possessions?
My lifestyle is a simple one.
Great possessions do not necessarily refer to material wealth.
Then, I am blessed with at least one great possession, Your teaching.
Spirit’s I Ching reading for today.
The Creative (I Ching 1) is a beginning and follows nothing.
Yesterday’s I Ching was 55 – Abundance, but not even abundance
Is ever complete in itself.. Creativity expands, alters, or destroys
Whatever must be expanded, altered, or destroyed in order to
Create what is to be.
Abundance is not unlimited abundance but creativity is
Unlimited and able to expand abundance to infinity.
There are no limits, He tells me, to either human or
Universal creativity, for we are one with the other and
Within the other.
Time does run out in individuals.
We each are beyond individuality.
But, down here at a grass roots level …
At whatever level.
But, here and now …
Here and now is where and when.
Abundance follows Marriage in the order of the Hexagrams.
Marriage is a special ceremony wherein two people declare their
Intentions to share with and care for each other, and accept
Responsibility to develop a long-term, mutually beneficial
It sounds good, so far. Where does abundance fit?
Two or more people working together can usually accomplish or
Create more of whatever, than any one person, alone. Working
Together also creates community. We were not designed to live
Back to abundance. Couldn’t two or more, working together without
Harmony, and without too much effort, create an abundance of
Sorrow, as easily as, or as well as an abundance of pleasure
For each other?
That’s a chance we choose or choose not to take.
I Ching 55 – Abundance. Thunder is over Fire.
Thunder suggests an abundance of rain.
Fire suggests and abundance of light and heat.
Both thunder and fire create and are created by
Movement. Something changes. Something always changes.
Abundance expresses blessings far beyond survival needs.
Why do I not experience such a lifestyle?
I’m not aware of it.
I Ching, 55, abundance, thunder, fire, abundance, rain, light, heat, create, movement, changes, blessings, beyond, survival, needs, Spirit, lifestyle, aware.
